​LEGACY SCHOOLS​

The schools name us derived fork a desire to bequeath the children of Narok County and beyond an educational inheritance modeled along the lines of Starehe Boys Centre that would stand the test of time long after the founders life hereafter.​

​

The school was started in 2003. it is about 3kms from Narok town, along the Narok-Njoro Road and 400m off this read, adjacent to Lenana Primary School.

​

Its setting right in the heart of Maasai land, where traditionally the shield and the spear are used to protect the people from the enemies, Legacy is using books and pens to shield the people from ignorance which is even a greater enemy. Poor academic performance in national exams in Narok was the driving force of establishing Legacy School.

The school is a mixed day and boarding school. It comprises of a nursery section of three units (Baby, Middle and Top) and a primary section – Standard 1 -8. it started with a staff of five teachers and two support staff and a pupil population of 23.

Currently, the school has a pupil population of 270, a teaching staff of 15 and 13 members of the non-teaching staff.
